Parent/teacher conferences are so important for your child. You should treat parent/teacher conferences like a business meeting. Come in with a pen and paper, dress nicely, show up early, and be prepared. Talk to your teenager ahead of time to find out what they would like you to ask your teacher, or don't want you to ask their teenager. Sometimes teenagers, especially shy teenagers, are a little bit nervous about talking to their teachers. If parents can step in and be the bridge between the child and the teacher, it's a great support for both. The teacher feels like they have a great resource at home, and the child feels like they can depend on their parents.
