After you give birth, the safe amount of time is 6 weeks. That’s the standard. After 6 weeks, you can pretty much get right back to your exercise routine. Now, some women who have been fit right up to their delivery may feel okay to walk after 3 weeks. But that is not to say they’re in the gym, jumping around and doing everything. You have to start out very slow – remember, your body has been through a traumatic experience. As far as your abdominals are concerned, start out slowly. But everything’s on the table.
