What do I do if I find out or I think that my son or daughter is involved in hazing activities? Well, one thing you can't do is just take your son or daughter out of the organization because what really is happening is they're in the sort of luminal space where they're leaving you and going toward adulthood. If you take them out in the middle, they know here nor there and that can be very traumatic. So, what would I do with non-criminal hazing, maybe making people dress up or scavenger hunts. I go work with the school. I try to get the behavior changed. I try to get the school to bring in people who know what they're doing to talk about why hazing is wrong and what the consequences could potentially be. On the other hand, if you find out there's been sexual abuse, alcohol abuse, paddling, you've gone into the area of criminal hazing and you have no choice. You have to work with authorities because it is a crime and while you will want to enact reforms, the behaviors already occurred and it has to be punished.
