I think learning about what overconsumption of our natural resources, as a society and an individual, is essential. Not only because saving those natural resources and respecting those natural resources will ultimately lead to a healthier, cleaner planet; that's the obvious. I think we really have to look at our consumptive habits. I think we need to take two steps back to move forward. I think we need to look at our grandparents, and understand the way they looked at life. They would never disrespect the time, energy, labor, love it took to create your food, your razor, your toothbrush, your clothing, your blankets; whatever you are using on a daily basis. I don't think they ever envisioned or had the idea, that once you used those things, you would throw them away and use another one the next day. I think that they were made to last a long time. I think they were made to serve us, but not to indulge us. I think learning and understanding what consuming our natural resources is all about, it not just an environmental exercise; it's a spiritual endeavor.
