Being a minimalist parent is about really embracing the fact that there are certain things that matter to you. Not everything in the world has to be perfect in your life in order for you to be a wonderful parent to your children. And the more you can identify the things that really to you and those things are unique to yo and your family. The more you can make space in your life for these things by reducing the other stuff that maybe doesn't matter so much to you. So I know for me, I am not a particularly crafty parent. I just am not. I'm not doing our projects with my kids. I'm not making homemade this and that. And I know a lot of people really love to do that and so for them it's great use of their time. For me, it's not. I like to do other things with my kids and I have come to a place where I no longer feel guilty about that because I know I have my own unique gift to share with my kids. So really minimalist parenting about first identifying the things that you truly care about and then in very practical ways making space for those things in your day to day life.
