“Overwhelmed.” A feeling, among many others, that is common and felt all too frequently among many preemie parents. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (aka the NICU), is home for every preemie parent either for a short or long time. It was our home for almost 6 months. It’s also a very abnormal place.
