It seems as if today so many parents don’t actually want to be parents. Oh, they love their kids, they just don’t want to raise them because that can bring up well, using the word “no,” which could lead to tears and crying and the dreaded “You’re not my friend,” or worse, “I hate you.” Then being the guilt buckets we are we rush in and hold their hand and soothe their feelings and tell them of course we’ll buy you a Corvette at 15.

In the meantime, you may need to have a towel in the dryer that is getting warm for them, so when they get out of the bath, they are ready for a nice warm bath towel. The other thing is, don't be afraid of the baby's soft spot in his skull. I know it's soft and it's scary, the thing is, the baby's head needs to be scrubbed. So use a nice, soft bristled brush, and make sure that you scrub the top of the head; otherwise, they will get cradle cap. I was dropping off my son to meet a school bus that would take him to his new middle school. We'd never done this before, and he'd never ridden a bus to school. In the recent past, I had driven him right up to the front of his school and let him out - with a kiss and hug and a 'I love you, have a great day,' exchange before he got out.
