Transcription:
When a parent actually knows that a child is being victimized, you want to sit down and make a plan. You want to talk to the child and find out all the facts. See who is involved. Know exactly what has been happening. Then, together, you make a plan. What's really important for a parent to understand is that they let their child know, very specifically, that they are not going to change the plan without the child's knowledge and permission. Often times, a child feels like they can't trust the parent, which is why the parent is often the last to know about any bullying behavior that the child is involved in or is witnessing. Make a plan together, and stick to it.
