Homework can be a challenge for most parents. First, you need to have a better understanding of your child's style of learning is, so you can base homework routines on your child's natural strengths and inclinations for homework. Take your cues from your child. The second is the system that you have for doing homework, maybe not be what's best for your child. Know that a dedicated work space, free from distractions, away from computers is often the best place for your child to do his or her homework. Second, in understanding the type of learner your child is know that she wants to do her homework at the kitchen table where she can have dynamic interaction with you. Give and receive feedback. Take time out of your schedule to do homework with your child. For instance, for a child who is an intra-learner take your cues from your child in knowing that she needs to do her homework in distraction free environment, away from all the hustle bustle of house, the kitchen, and all the siblings. Make that type of environment available to her. Know that homework battles are an ongoing process and that if you take it slow and take your cues from your child, you will find the routine and the structure that works best for her.
