The best way to plan to take the High School Exit Exam is by doing well in Math and English in Middle School. The High School Exit Exam is primarily based on math that the child gets in Eighth Grade and English classes throughout Middle School and in Ninth Grade. That's they best way they can start practicing the exit exam. They get the first opportunity to pass it or take the exam in Tenth Grade. If they don't pass both parts, they re-take it until they do. If a child does not pass the High School Exit Exam, the school will give them tutoring and extra classes to help them pass it. Many students feel like a failure if they don't pass the exam the first time. They shouldn't feel that way. The school wants them to pass it and they are going to give them extra tutoring and classes so they do pass it. You only have to take the section that you failed over.
