I think that when you are talking about teens and sex, we really need to take at the overall picture. If you've got a 12 year old that is sexually acting out, that child really needs to be assessed by a psychiatrist because that could mean a much deeper, root problem. If you've got a 17 year old that is having unprotected sex, then you really need to do some parenting and do some education with that child. If you've got a child that is having internet sexual relationships with indiscriminate people or people they've never met, you really need to take a look at those behaviors. Whether it is sexual addiction, whether it's trauma based, or whatever it is; there's a problem going on. You, as a parent, have to help them make better decisions.
