In cases involving the online sexual exploitation of minors, we oftentimes find evidence archived within the victims email address or even social profiling networks like, for example a Facebook profile and whatnot. So it is important that we preserve the information stored within those accounts. And the best way of doing that is obtaining the password and changing that so that the minor can no longer access the account. When you make a report to Law Enforcement, be sure that you provide Law Enforcement with the profile name and password, and also give them consent to access the account pursuant to their investigation. Or even if they are communicating with someone like .. in many different cases, we have had suspects sending victims child pornography through emails, or is simply chatting with them through email messages and so what we do is we access those accounts and get information from the child victim's account.
