My name is Jeanette Yoffe. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I have a private practice in west Los Angeles and I specialize in working with children and families who are touched by foster care and adoption. I do attachment family work. I work with adult adoptees as well. I am very passionate about this subject, because I myself grew up in the foster care system and was adopted at the age of seven and a half. I also run a monthly support group for the adoption triad, which are birth parents, adoptive parents and adult adoptees so we can share our stories and connect and heal one another. I am also a mother. I have a five year old son and I have been married for 12 years. And I love cooking. I love good food. And I hope that I can share, and you can see in my passion for this work, and get something out of what I'm sharing with you on this program today.
