You know I don't think the definition of being a good dad has changed much down the centuries. We've got to be present. We've got to be active with our kids. And we're there to look after them, protect them, and make them laugh. And I think that's the way it's always been since we were cavemen, and now we just have a little bit more help with iPads. I don't think dads are given enough credit sometimes. We're pretty adaptable you know. Our role in family lief has changed a little bit in the last wee while, and we've moved on from being that guy, that aloof dude, who leaves in the morning with his briefcase and goes into the office, to the guy who's there all the time with our kids, very hands on, and not just building forts for our boys. We're there playing My Little Pony with our girls now. We've had to adapt quite a lot in the last generation or so. And I think we've done a pretty good job. Although I would say from my point of view, some of it is very confusing. My son I have no problems with at all. We communicate on a male to male level, ever since he was 2 years old. My daughter however is a very confusing thing to me. Even at the age of 2 1/2, I've begun to realize that women are actually born mysterious. She confuses me every single day of my life, and sometimes when I'm playing My Little Pony with her, I actually have no idea what is going on.
