When you flip roles in terms of the male stays home and looks after the kids and the wife or the female goes back to work, I think that's mostly based on the fact of who earns the most money. Frankly, my wife has always earned a great deal more money than I have. So that was a pretty easy decision to take. But I would say that a lot of women and a lot of guys still look down their noses a little bit at stay at home dads. There is a stigma attached to the guy who stays at home. I'm a writer, so that stigma doesn't so much apply to me because I'm still being productive, I guess. I'm not just juggling kids. I'm also juggling screenplays and other things. But the minute you mention you're a stay at home dad, there is this stigma, of oh, because you can't get a job. Or, oh, you're unqualified. Or, you're just hopeless, or whatever it is. But having said that, there are days when I would much prefer to be in an office doing a real job than being home with my children, especially writing and being at home with my children. It's next to impossible.
