Environmental education in our schools is imperative and it should be implemented, because children are the decision makers for our future. And if they don’t come to the table whether as an artist, a teacher, a lawyer, a business man, a manufacturer – whatever profession that they choose – if they don’t come to the table understanding the impact that the environment and the choices we make about the environment has on our society, then they can’t further that agenda. It’s important in every sector of our society – whether as an artist – you’re using your art as a social lever to talk about the environment, or you actually an environmental lawyer advocating for policy on environmental regulations. Every single sector requires somebody, or people at the table that are educated and really understand the impact of the environment on all of society. So to have environmental education in our schools, starting K-12, and integrated into all disciplines is one of the best ways to really make this shift happen.
