The Liz Logelin Foundation is a foundation that I established to help other widowed families with dependent children. And we don’t care how the family or the relationship dynamic worked. We don’t care if the families are gay, straight, married, unmarried. It doesn’t matter to us as long as there was a committed relationship and dependent children produced, whether through adoption or natural birth. And what we’re there to do is just give financial assistance to these families. We don’t do anything other than give them money for them to do what they want with it. We don’t have any requirements on how the money is spent. We don’t even ask how it’s spent. We just want them to know that in their time of need, when their entire world has crumbled around them and when they’re completely devastated, that there’s an organization out there that not only understands what they’re going through but can give them some assistance, and that assistance again comes through a financial assistance that we get from people who have donated and really care about the plight of these widows and widowers.
