Postpartum issues for moms of multiples, can be very different; especially their cardiovascular level. You would think they would be more in shape, running around after multiples; but, often times, they are less fit. We try to incorporate normal, routine things that they do with their babies in everyday life, and try to increase their heart rate. We look at target heart rate; which is, 220 minus your age, and you multiply that by your level of fitness that you want to do. You can actually be able to be more fit, so that you can do some of the other strengthening things that you need to do. The other issue is that tissues and ligaments are often stretched out, when you've had multiples, than with singletons.
