Some of the physical differences between a woman who has had a c-section versus women who have had a vaginal delivery are that in a c-section, there might be scare tissue, or tissues that don't heal so well. They can get what's called keloids. Their abdominal muscles may be weaker than a mom who has had vaginal birth. In a vaginal birth, you might see pelvic floor weakness, not necessarily because the muscles are stretched during pregnancy. In a vaginal delivery, you can get more tearing. You can have tears that go down to the rectum. They need to be healed with physical therapy. There are a lot of things related to the pelvic floor that is different.
