It is very important for parents to train their children to fall asleep in noisy places because the reality is there is not always a quiet place for a child to go to sleep. And if you train your child that they are only to sleep when it is total and complete silence, then you will be in for a rude awakening, especially when there is a noise in the middle of the night. You are going to have to wake up because your child is going to wake up because your child is not used to sleeping noise. With that said, it is also important to remember that the child, especially for new parents, comes from the womb where they are used to hearing all the noises and they sleep just fine with the noises in the womb so it is kind of more of a natural transition to them than the quiet because quiet can sometimes be scarier than the noise. Once you get your child sleeping and almost to the stage where they are falling asleep, it is really important to massage them and make sure you help their bodies relax because their mind will relax really easily once they start hearing all of the noises and they will be able to have this sensory overload of noises that will make them naturally sleepy. But their body will still want to move around, so it is really important that you just touch them carefully and make sure you help their bodies fall asleep, too.
