The fertility rate of couples changes with a woman's age. Under the age of 35, a couple, on average, gets pregnant about one in three cycles. So by three months, a hundred couples trying to get pregnant, half of those couples are pregnant. Now by the time you get to age 37, 38, 40, it could be four cycles or five cycles being the average because the good egg only comes up every four or five months as the woman gets older. We all are, on average, one out of three conceptions of our parents. The first couple of embryos got fertilized, traveled down, didn't plant because they didn't have the right genetics. That's a big part of getting pregnant. The other side of the coin is if you don't want to get pregnant, the chance of getting pregnant per cycle is 110 percent.
