When my daughter was 7 months old, my husband and I decided to change her name. Which I'm really glad we did. But I have to warn parents that it is costly and a bit of a headache. You have to go through the legal system, you have to hire an attorney, you have to go to court, even though it's just a baby. So if you can agree on a name before you put it on the birth certificate, I highly recommend that. We could not. And unbeknownst to us, we both had name regret. And we decided to go through it. And I'm really glad we did, because I love her name now. But it is a costly experience.
