Here are five road trip essentials.
When you're planning a road trip with your kids we all know that you're going to pack an IPad or a DVD player. But these are road trip essentials that don't require you to use any electronics. And so if you are going to go for a long ride with your kids the first thing that you want to do is have a Car Organizer. And you want to set that up, so your kid has access to everything. If you're in the front seat, you don't want to be craning your neck, straining your back every time your kid need something. So, you can easily buy organizers to keep their toys, anything they need, nearby for them.
The second thing you want to do is pack snacks, of course. But pack snacks that your kids can open and handle themselves. Put them in that Organizer. And, again, you can have your "grown up time" in the front seat with your partner, and your kids can become self-sufficient in the backseat.
Two of the most popular things for kids to play with in the car are a pad, an either pencils, pens, markers or crayons. Depending on your kids age. We think the kids can't keep them entertained. But with a pad and something to write with, they can while away a couple of hours in the car. The second thing, that's the most popular thing for kids to do in a car, is have a book. If your kids are young, it is a picture book. As they get older, they can read chapter books. And if they're not that into reading you can get them a sticker or an activity book that can keep them busy for hours.
And then the most important thing to have in the car, particularly if there are siblings riding in the backseat, is a prize box. And that is a box that you have in the front seat filled with little chachky items that are wrapped up. And you can reward your kids for every hour or half hour that they don't fight with each other, or keep themselves entertained, or don't whine. And it's incentive, so that you can take longer and longer car trips. You can reward them every mile or 10 miles or hour into the car ride. And it's super popular.
