Permanent birth control is for men and women.
For women, there is tubal ligation and something called esure. Esure is a method that is available at Planned Parenthood. It's a very simple procedure and much easier for women. Instead of having a tubal ligation, there is no surgery involved in it. The way that it works is that it has a little spiral, very similar to the spring on the top of the pen. It's made out of the same material from those person's who have bypasses in their heart. It is put into the fallopian tubes, and scars over, so it prevents any sperm from getting into the fallopian tubes. It takes approximately three months for the scar tissue to develop, and another type of birth control has to be used at that time. Tubal ligation, they can either cut them or burn them. It's another form of sterilization.
For males, they cut the vas deference, another little surgery that is done in the office. Those are the different type of permanent sterilization. The types of people that have it are ones that may not want to have a family or somebody who is already finished having their family. These are the types of people for these sterilizations.
