My name is doctor Johanna Olson. I work at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles. I'm the medical director for our center for trans-youth health and development. I'm also an assistant of the professor of Clinical Pediatrics at USE Tech School of Medicine. It is my job to help gender non - conforming children and transgender adolescents find their way through a treatment protocol and experience their authentic selves. I am a proud mother of a nearly 6 year old child, who I've thought to ask about gender in this way: Mommy, how do you know if someone is boy or a girl? You ask them. In my free time i like to travel. One of my favorite places to go to is New Zealand. It's one of the most beautiful places on earth. I'm also a proud wife. My husband is a wonderful man who I've known since high school. And I like doing all things outdoors: camping, river-rafting, hiking, anything where there are trees and clean air.
