One of the ways a stay-at-home dad can find peer support in their community is through the internet. That was a big help from me. Most of my friends were at work, so I couldn't ask them for help in raising my kids. I went online and I found a lot of great mothers on there, and fathers as well. If something is happening when you are alone with the kid and you are wondering, "Gee, is this okay?" You can get on the internet and ask some people or do some reading. You find out that it's okay and don't worry about it. There is a community of people online that were very helpful to me. It's not traditional, but this is the time we live in, I think, and it's how I got a lot of help in raising my kids.
