Genetically modified food is when they take a gene, bacteria or a virus from on species and insert it into another to create a desired effect, usually resistance to herbicides or pesticides. And the reason why it's dangerous is that it has been unproven in terms of safety for human health. So, for example, in the general world today the resistance to herbicides and pesticides is just continuing to increase, so they are having to find way create more and more seeds that can be resistant. And where they are now, because it is just an iterative escalating issue, is that they are taking the pesticides and herbicides and engineering them into the seeds themselves so that you longer really have to spray.
