How to create a less toxic household

I think there are three really important things to be aware of when you're trying to deal with your child's skin. One is your home environment. I know that using toxic chemicals in your home can really make a huge dramatic effect on their skin -- the eczema, allergies, asthma, all of those things. The things on the rise with children right now so getting rid of the toxic chemicals and replacing them with non-toxic safe alternatives like Seventh Generation or something I use. We mostly make our own for our house. I think that's really, really important. I also think in your nursery because the newborn and children spend so much time sleeping that you do have a safe organic mattress that's not off gassing chemicals that they're breathing in constantly. I think it's really important to have an organic mattress for your child. Another important thing is body care. I think that chemicals that we're slathering all over our children are extremely detrimental to their skin, their little developing organs, everything about them. I think you have to make sure that there is no paraben. There's no sodium lauryl sulfate in these products. Read the labels. Make sure the ingredientz are pure for your children.
