Natural ways to treat eczema

When my son had eczema when he was born and developed very extreme eczema and no doctor could help me, and I didn't want to give him steroids. I did a humongous amount of research on my own to see what was happening. When I discovered that my home environment was toxic, I knew that it was in my hands, that I could take care of this problem for him. I did many, many things, but I suggest a couple of huge steps that parents take that, I think down the line, will make dramatic changes in your life. I think you shouldn't use toxic chemicals in your house, at all. It is just as easy to use water, lemon, essential oils, baking soda to clean your home. Those are natural products as opposed to the chemicals that people are spreading all the time. I really believe that it is affecting our children's development. The clothes that he was wearing that had pesticides on them from being non-organic materials. The baby mattress which was off gasing toxing chemicals that were disrupting his development. His bottles, which were leaching BPA into his milk. His toys that were later recalled back to China. I figured this out, doing all this research. I replaced them all with non-toxic and safe alternatives. His eczema went away within about three weeks.
