With my children present, I'm never going to second-guess what my partner is doing or vice versa. He's never going to criticize an action that I may have taken with regard to disciplining or otherwise parenting my children. When kids see you sweat -- Kids are really smart. They find a way to manipulate you. It's best to find a course of action to proceed. Then I think that you and your partner should always discuss what happened, how you would do things in the future, and how going forward on a particular topic, you would agree. I think you're always going to disagree. Teaching a child from a very young age that there is dissent in the house about how they are being parented is the ax of death. Your kids may kill you.
