From a dad's point of view, mom's are definitely too judgmental of each other. There's the whole mommy worst thing, where mothers are comparing themselves to other mothers; and comparing their kids to other kids. That is really a destructive thing to do. There are no daddy wars going on about how to raise their kids. Maybe there is when they get to Little League, but that's a whole other thing. I think that the value in that is by not criticizing each other about how you raise your kids, you are able to open up to how you raise your kids. One example would be, when I'm feeding my little girl, Annabelle, if she is really dirty at the end; I don't care as much if she ate a lot of vegetables and got a lot of the right foods. A mom might be worried about allowing a kid to eat and get messy because; what would other people think? I know the mom down the street will think I was a bad mom for letting her get dirty. The important thing is if the kid ate right, so if there is less criticism among mothers and more support, the kids will benefit from that. That is a big lesson to learn from dads, we don't care about that as much; and hopefully, will succeed at more that way.
