You know, anger is such a big issue for everyone. And kids don’t have the skills that we as adults have, it doesn’t always come easy. But what I find is that when anger comes out, there’s often other feelings underneath that are precipitating that. Like I’m thinking of a 10-year-old boy who was so angry, he would fight with everyone from morning to getting dressed, to at school with his friends, to at home with his sister. And he would kick and scream and nothing seemed to help. Until he found his own answers inside. And what he did was, when he calmed himself and kind of looked for where anger was in his body, it was bubbling up like a volcano. But underneath the volcano, there was worry about doing well in school, there was frustration at not making the last sports team; there was all these feelings that he didn’t realize were connected to his anger. So we then looked again, we looked for anecdotes and what could help him. And he realized he had resources inside. He had calmness, he had clarity; he had all these resources he didn’t realize. So we wanted to access them. So we did. So he went inside and he found out that his calmness could be in charge. And when he breathed in that calmness, that blue calmness that was in his shoulders, it kind of covered his anger in the volcano, but he also connected to his love in his heart, which was for him a white color. And he said, the difference was when he breathed in love to that anger, it dissipated. The anger just burst open, like the volcano exploded and there was no more anger, it was just filled with love. So for him love was really the answer. Loving himself and loving others.
