When you have a child in a rear facing infancy or convertible seat, a lot of parents prefer to use a mirror so that they can see what's going on with the baby while they are driving alone in the car. Make sure that any mirror that you choose matches the same brand as your car seat. So if you have a Britax car seat you should have a Britax mirror. If you have a different brand you should make sure you have that brand's mirror. So that all of the system together is from the same brand. That way if you are ever in any accident you know that that brand is going to be able to help you figure out what went wrong. As long as the mirror - you wanted to be soft, cushion, not any sort of actual glass mirror, because that's when you child head may go forward and may have contact with that mirror. So I recommend you to be very careful, make sure that the mirror matches the brand of your car seat. As far as other accessories go - we see a lot of parents with the infant seats where there are hanging toys, or different things from the carry handle just to entertain the baby. Those are absolutely not recommended. In a car accident any loose objects in the vehicle can become projectiles. A box of Kleenex could even kill you in a car accident if it hits you in the right way. Make sure you don't have any after-market products or loose items floating around in the vehicle or in the car seat with your child.
