When we have a baby, we need people around us and groups to relate to, so I would go looking for support group just two kinds. You can find facilitated group where there are breast-feeding experts, Mommy and me experts, a social workers, whatever, they share their expertise with you in those groups as well as being with other mothers sharing experiences. Those are fabulous, but don’t rule out the possibility that just finding your own peer-group wouldn’t be great. That’s what I did with my kids, because I didn’t have a facilitated group. I am so friends with those women today. I have danced weddings. We call each other when we are in need. They help us through the good times and the bad times. I had a little hot moment this week when I was reading my opera magazine and came upon a little article about, when we even have an interaction with someone in the post office line. How that releases that Oxytocin hormones. And we have a better well being, so I am going back to looking for my group again. I am going to have it all my life.
