Reinventing yourself after baby

I would have to say that every mom, at some stage of being a mom, grapples with the same problem of: Where did I go? Where is my identity? I think that sometimes it's easiest to see what you were doing before and see can that career work for me in a different way. Can I re-structure it? Is it important that I am home, maybe two days a week, and three days a week I'm in an office? Or do I want to work from home all the time? Can I work hourly or consult instead of being full time? Do I need insurance, so I need to be a full time employee and be flexible? You need to work out what your families needs are and what you are really craving. If your craving is something to do with your time outside of diapers, bottles and strollers all the time, sometime when they are little, there is just a lot of other ways to get out of the house; volunteering at the schools or with some local charities. Things that will give you grownup time to think about something other than the baby, but still allow you to be home, if that is what you are looking to do.
