At what age do you have your kids start showering/bathing daily?

I have a 9 yo and 5 yo and we aren't there yet. I feel like we will be there soon with my 9yo, at least when its this hot.

We've never believed in daily being necessary unless a kid needed it. I've heard it's not good for the skin, every couple days does it for us.

So far that's that's what we've done too.  2 of my 3 have pretty sensitive skin and that's what the doctor advised.

Your Kid's Table

We are still every other day unless they have been in dirt, which happens a lot in the summer. When did your kids start bathing themselves independently. We are really working on it with my nearly 6 year old, but I don't think he'll be ready for a while.

We have always bathed daily. It's a relaxing part of our routine.

Momofboys

We have always bathed daily. I have three boys so they do a lot of running and what not which gets them sweaty (especially during the summer). On the weekends sometimes I may get lazy, but when they are going to school or daycare it is necessary that they bathe.

I've always done every other day baths unless they stink or are extremely dirty.  Then it's more often.  That means my teens might get more showers then the younger ones.  Usually we do them at night just to keep the morning from being rushed, but my 14 year old who has really curly hair prefers am showers.

Mommy Ramblings

lol, as a mom of older and younger kids, your kids will just usually transition themselves especially boys who are active and working out or in sports. It is not unusual they will take a couple of showers during one day. LOL.  My 8 year old is very clean like he hates to be sticky so syrup on his hand makes him get right up and wash and I notice he is taking showers on his own now because he is just like that.

My 6 year old is like that.  She hates having anything on her hand and washes them a lot.

My children always bathed daily. Once a month or so they may have missed a day but they were very consistent!
