I agree! This kind of response puts the power and validity back on to the child instead of expecting others approval of their work and being!

We are so quick to make a judgement and yet I agree that that is not what we want our kids to hear... It always turns into them trying to please us when we want them to worry about pleasing themselves!

Great! So many people aren't aware of this, and the habit can be hard to break.
