At what age did your child stop taking naps?

The summer before Kindergarten began. I helped him transition out of naps the final few weeks before school began in the hopes that he wouldn't be quite so tired!

That's a great plan! Did you adjust his bedtime to help counter the missing nap?

In my house each kid has been different.  Some took naps until 4, others stopped at 2.  It was more their decision then mine.  For the one that was 2, I did require some quiet time sitting in bed where she could look at books.

Yes! Each of my children has been different too.

My kids gave up their nap times around the time they were 5

My youngest is five and I don't remember the last time she napped. It's been a battle since she was an infant. For her, we had to move to a super early bedtime when she was 2 or 3 because she just wouldnt nap. My older daughter didn't nap much after age 4 but would occasionally nap.

Up until the last week my youngest would fall asleep some time during the day, usually while I was driving, but not this week.  She's not sleeping at all.  So guess those naps are gone now.  She 3 1/2.

My oldest was five, and my younger just over three.  I definitely adjusted bedtime!

I think the oldest child takes naps the longest but the younger ones get cheated out of them or end them earlier just beause the family dynamic changes so much. I know that is how it was with us.
