Weekend Plans?

Posted September 17, 2015 - 9:57pm

What are you all up to this weekend? We will probably go to the high school football game friday night. Then my husband's pee wee team plays saturday morning and my son's team plays at 1. On Sunday my girls have their first day of soccer and then I am taking all the kids to see Annie (the musical). I'm really looking forward to it!

Frugal Minded M...

Yours sounds like much more fun then ours.  We are still working on getting the kids bedrooms switched around.  Labor day weekend was painting, last weekend all the furniture got moved around and this week we have to deal with all the stuff including switching clothes around in the closets.  While I am at it, I'll probably clean out the drawers too.

I bet it will feel so good when it's done though!

Season changes are tough on moms...but I'm cheering for you because you'll feel amazing when it's all said and done!

It was a bit more then just seasoning stuff.  We had bins of girls clothes in closets that needed to be moved out so my oldest clothes could go in there.  Instead of just putting them up in the attic messed up I seperated them between sizes.  Now I have 8 bins seperated by size  7-8 bins, 8-10 bins 12 bins and 14-16 bins.  She will be well set once she gets past wsize 6 since I had given all those away.  Then I did the same with my oldest clothes.  Seems I don't have as many boys clothes since each size just has one bin.  Still think my 9 year old will be set when he hits different sizes.  Sort of sad in that one of the bins has small men's clothes in it.  Makes you realize how much your babies are growing up.I did clear out two garbage bag clothes for my son and gave them to a friend at church who's son is in size 8.

My son starts driver's ed and my daughter is taking her driving test to get her license. Big changes are ahead in our household!

beachcitymom

Hallz105

Oh wow!  TWO drivers?!  I remember how exciting it was but I'm sort of terrified for my kids to get there.  Luckily, I still have some time...

Mommy Ramblings

We went to LEGOLAND Discovery Center today-I had to cover it as press but we had a good time, went out to eat, did some shopping and came home. Tomorrow I have to get the big inflatable water park and bounce house cleaned, dryed and then put away for winter. I would like to take the kids down to this one river by us that we have not been to that has a beautiful stone arch bridge to get some pictures. I have a ton of blog articles to write this weekend as well.

jonbonjovious

My son dreams of going to LEGOLAND someday! I bet it was so much fun! I love stone bridges and the leaves are beginning to change..should be spectacular!

Hallz105

That sounds like it would make for some great photos!  LEGOLAND is my son's dream too.  He was a bit Disappointed we didn't go when we went to Disneyland.

Legoland is a favoite here too! Today we went to Knott's Berry Farm for an early birthday celebration for my son..who will be 12 on Sunday. Fun but one too many roller coasters! ;)

Your Kid's Table

We just finished up soccer with my oldest and have two birthday parties to go to later this afternoon.  Tomorrow nothing is on the schedule but church, thankfully. Oh, and my uncle is in town and staying with us this weekend.

We went to a high school football game last night. Today we had plans to go to an apple festival, however, our dog bolted during the morning walk and we are desparately trying to find him!

Frugal Minded M...

Have you found your dog?  I hope so.

jonbonjovious

So? Here is some background on our dog, Jeb. He was severly abused by someone, escaped and roamed our neighborhood for about 3 weeks before the neighbor helped us bait and catch him in his dog's house. We had Jeb for 3 weeks. He would love on us in the morning, but when we got out of bed, he was afraid of us and our movements. If we went to work or school, it was like starting over with him when we came home. By bedtime, he was a lovie. It took us almost a week to get him to eat and drink water. So, Saturday night I took our other dog for a walk and she was dragging me along the creek to the back of our neighbor who helped catch Jeb initially. Jeb was laying beside the dog's house, but when he saw the flashlight, bolted.Jeb is still there--now it's just a matter of my husband and the neighbor catching him again. I'm so sad he is so broken and doesn't know we are here to help him, but he's almost home!

Frugal Minded M...

Poor dog.  Hope he realizes soon that you are there to help him.
