What are your favorite parenting books?

I know there is a splattering of recommendations around here, but I thought it would be helpful to have them all in one place.

Now that my kiddos are older I don't really have a favorite, but when they were babies The Baby Whisperer books saved me. So insightful and really matched my thoughts about young children anyway. Now that we are approaching tweendom I think I probably need to find some applicable parenting books, though.

Your Kid's Table

I love the classic Sibling Rivalry. It is a great read about getting your kids to get along! Very helpful tips. And I love Amy McCready's Positive Parenting Solutions.

I'll have to put those on my list to check out! I've read more early childhood books than parenting, which are helpful, but more from an education perspective.

Mommy Ramblings

Hmmm, not parenting but What to Expect series on the first and second year I liked as well as The Happiest Toddler or Baby on the Block I think was the name of it.

I also loved the What to Expect series of books....it is harder to find parenting books I like in regards to older kids, tweens and teens.

Great idea!  I'll definitely be checking back because I could use some good resources, especially on parenting strong willed children ;)

What to Expect When You Are Expecting  for when I was pregnant and Best Friends, Worst Enemies. The friend book really helped me navigate the social issues that arose with my daughter. Fabulous book!

Your Kid's Table

I'm literally writing that second one down now! I think you mentioned it in another post, too!

I will have to check that one out too..Best Friends, Worst Enemies.

I like a lot of James Dobson's books expecially his one called Bringing up Boys.
