In my practice, I frequently see women come in with despair. They've just forgotten how old they have gotten, before they try to get pregnant. I think part of that is also education. With our young people, when we are in adolescence or early 20's, we tend to teach our kids not to get pregnant. I totally agree. There are situations, at that time, where your focus is on contraception, but it's the wrong way to teach our kids. We actually need to teach them holistically, by teaching them about their whole reproductive system, their whole fertility system. Give them some long term planning. Give them a long term view. Hey, you are going to be very fertile when you are 20 years old. You look at a guy the wrong way when you are 20 years old and you get pregnant, so you should really be careful. But, when you get in your 30's, your fertility rate goes down 50 percent. A lot of times, you want to start educating our girls about their body. Educating them because they don't know better, you should just focus on contraception. I think that's the wrong way to go about it. Teach them the holistic approach, the whole picture of their body. I think that would be a better educational method and approach.
