Someone in struggle with anxiousness and or depression. And there are several modalities that we can use to help them feel more comfortable and energetic. Early in pregnancy, we use Craniosacral Therapy to relax the central nervous system. Towards the middle of the pregnancy, we massage which has a positive effect on the min and body. We encourage yoga and meditation. And we can also use acupuncture and Chinese herbs which is particularly helpful in women who have stopped taking medication for the duration of their pregnancy. In our office, we have - my wife is a prenatal and postpartum psychologist and she's fantastic with counseling and in particular the support groups can come together and support one another. After pregnancy, many of our patients take the placenta and make pills out of it and take the placenta pills which seems to help with the baby blues and with depression.
