What is the definition of bullying?

The definition of bullying is actually pretty easy. It's when one or more kids intentionally hurt a kid because they are looking to get more power and to make the kid they are targeting have less power. Here's the story: Kids have to figure out where that line is, so if I'm a kid and I make fun of you and, basically, you make fun of me and we're having a good time; that's not bullying. But if I say something that really hurts your feelings, a normal kid I'm going to stop because I realize I crossed the line. That line is different for every kid, and kids have to learn. So they learn the lines of what's appropriate and what is not. If I'm a bully and I see that I hurt your feelings, I'm going to then see that as an opportunity to continue because my goal is to make you feel better, and you feel worse. That's what bullying is about.
