If my son is interested in becoming world class or a close family member is interested in being on a world stage, absolutely. Anyone who is interested in exploring something and enjoying the exploring process, might get really good at something. If their natural, God given talent matches up with something that supports them to grow, it's a life journey. I think it's more interesting that the child and the young person is driving and creating the path for their own life. As parents, our job is to create some safe boundaries to explore and encourage the growth process. Put them in environments that are stimulating. If it takes them to the world stage, that's fine. If it doesn't and they love life, that's great too. That's actually more important.
