It's more important than ever that we be able to have life-long conversations with our girls about their changing bodies and their sexuality. It's never too young to start. As girls are learning language, we can help them learn accurate language for body parts; breasts, vagina, penis. Wanting them to use accurate language. Secondly, we want to make the distinction between puberty education, and sex education. Often times, parents may want to fold that all together and have just one talk. Think about ways of talking to your daughter about the changes her body will make at puberty. She will be much more ready for that conversation, then she is about sexuality; which come along later. Finally, know that this is part of a life-long conversation, if you're lucky. Be prepared to be uncomfortable at times; breath, hang in there, and keep talking.
