Here´s what parents should explain to the kids when it comes to relationships. First off, this is a discussion they want to have. They want to talk to them about relationships will come and go during their teenage years, that the love of their life at 14, they won´t even talk to at 15. They want to explain to them that while relationships are important and they are important to be involved in, there are ways to act. In a relationship we have in high school is going to not mean the same thing even though it seems just dynamite, seems important, it´s going to be different in college. And that relationship is going to be different than the one we have in our 20s. So we want to explain relationships to them. We want to explain the signifigance of having sex with them and how that can change the relationship dynamic, completely, totally change it. And that´s why they have to be careful with sex during a relationship. And we want to model how a relationship is and we want to model this in our behavior with our significant other, in the way we act, if we are faithful, if we are trusting, if we are kind or gentle. That´s the way our kids will see a relationship should be. We can have this relationship discussion with our kids. We shouldn´t wait until they are 18 and leaving. This is something that we need to incorporate every day just all their lives. Talk about the relationship with our husband, the relationship with our parents, relationship with our friends, and the way we model our relationships is the way they´ll act.
