Today, there is National epidemic in schools. This has happened at the Air Force Academy. This is happening at Harvard. People are wondering, what's happened to our children's ethics? Who do they learn ethics from? Children learn ethics from their parents, so when it comes to teaching ethics to our children, we have to look at ourselves and go, What am I teaching my child? Am I teaching my child to drink? Am I teaching my child to smoke? Am I teaching my child to bring home strange men? Am I teaching my child that it's okay to lie on taxes? Am I teaching my child lying is okay? Am I teaching my child if I can't afford it, I'll MasterCard it? Am I teaching my child church, well, I might go or might not go? Am I showing gratitude for stuff? Am I working in the community? Do I value other people? Am I prejudice or bigoted? Children learn ethics from their parents. If we fail to model the behavior we want our kids to exhibit, then we can only blame ourselves. As far as all this cheating stuff that is going on in schools, look in the mirror.
