I'm in a lucky situation in that I'm in private practice and so I can dictate my own hours to a certain extent. I can't tell a woman when to go into labor, but I can guide my office hours so it accommodates my lifestyle. So I may on the backend have to work a little later at night, or come in earlier in the morning, but I do those sacrifices so that I can be with my kids. I love to coach their teams, I love to be at all their school events, or most of their school events. So sometimes you have to make sacrifices on one to get to the other. I tend to prioritize my family to a great extent so I get to be with them as much as possible.
