I'm Dr. Christine Carter, the author of Raising Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents. I'm a parent educator. I teach online classes. And, a mother myself, I have 2 kids, ages 9 and 11. I work at the Greater Good Science Center at UC, Berkeley as a sociologist and a happiness expert. What I try and do is translate all of the research on happiness and well-being and parenting for regular parents like us. In my free time, I love to ski and spend time with my family to travel. My favorite thing to do is read preferably with both of my daughters on either side of me reading as well.
