I think it's very important when we talk about children and to children, that we are really conscious about our language. It can impact the way that we see things, the way that we talk is really about the way that we feel, and it doesn't really matter what comes first. When we speak, from my tribal perspective, when we speak about children, we always make sure that we use words like 'sacred' - we refer to our children as being sacred. When we are talking to children, we do that with respect. It's really about the difference between asking your child, 'What's wrong' with them, and asking 'What happened?'
